OMG A REALLY REALLY big thumbs UP for anet
Where in every other online game i have ever played i feared almost every update because of:
- Extreme loading times
- Nerfs all over the place
- Obvious exploitable bugs
- Decreased game stability
I started GW today and the enormous update was streamed to me in less than 3 minutes, and what do i see in the update notes
- Massive number improvement
- Cool new game concepts
- Icreased chance to get cool items
- Many impreovements that show Anet listens to the community
- A few things that are less than they where but i can understand the need for these changes
- Proof that the PVP extreme weekend was a testing ground to give us a cool present (i am mostly PVE btw)
The list seems endless and with every item i read i cannot help myself but think WOW and fall silent.
Anet you are the greatest

I really thought it would suck, but it was great. Go Anet and PlayNC, you did something right. Actually you did a lot of things right. Only wrong thing you did was make a game so fun that I can't sleep lol.

The update just seems like another step towards WoW lite.

Then maybe you should take a step away Shinsei. You've been trolling every thread about this update... Enough already. We know you hate the update. Grow up.

I need to grow up because I dislike the update? And how have I been trolling every thread? I recall posting about how they skipped the much needed ER fix etc. , but trolling about it? Like I mentioned before... updates really seem to bring out the fanboys in some people.

@ kazahana
You are a bit off-topic but i would suggest leaving the guild and re-entering. The 100g fee should not be a problem to try and solve this
The more i am reading about stuff in the update the more i like it,
- no more attribute refund points
- single vendor in ember light camp selling all non-elite skills
The gravy doesn't seem to end ... and NO shinsei i am no fanboy. But i do very much like the fresh wind blowing through GW after seeing other online games nerfed to hell and back
Like i said starting the thread ... with ANET i do not fear the updates ... if i see an update coming in i think "what did they improve this time". And i love that.
Anet has renewed the enjoyment i once had playing online games that was completely destroyed by everquest and i thank them for that.

Try logging out of the game for at least 10 minutes and then checking again. There should be absolutely no need for you to leave your guild or be re-invited.

I love having no refund points plus the bosses at the new areas seem to drop "perfect items" - no need to farm for me to get that uber weapon.

That's OK with me, only if it would become too close to WoW Full, this game would be doomed for me.
I just need a little WoW in this one thankyouverymuch.
Combine the other aspects of GW with a WoW lite and you get a game where you aren't ruled by grind, while being different in many ways too. That sounds great to me. I would never look at WoW as a game like GW to strive for.

A-Net have done a great job.
- Removed Attribute Recovery points (SO SO WOW Thanks A-Net) I can now fix my screwed up character
One thing I would have liked to have seen tho was the option to turn your cape off. Oh well. You can't have everything I guess. I'm still v. happy with update

Seeing how many things were added that the community has asked for i am convinced that in time we will get things like
- Trading system
- Toggle capes
- and more
In fact i think Anet may even be silently working on these things and they will anounce them when ready.
Very much NOT like other companies promising the world and then rescheduling the release date time and time again.
The only thing i hope right now is that Anet has planned ahead because i see a steady rise in the numbers of players and i hope that the servers can handle it.

AS fantastic as the new areas are, it's the little things that really make me love this update.
Like getting to play Koreans and Europeans in Arenas. That's just neat.
